Service Description
This two day course will instruct unlicensed DD (developmental disability) personnel on how to safely administer medications in various settings. The course is guided by the approved Ohio DODD curriculum covering the following topics: 13 Health Related Activities, Medication Preparation, Medication Documentation, Medication Transcription, Medication Administration Techniques via various routes (oral, nasal, ear, eye, topical, rectal, and vaginal), Medication Errors & Safety, and Medication Procedures & Laws. Once course is completed, initial certification is issued by DODD and MUST BE renewed annually.
